Here is the finished product of my latest commission piece. 24x36. Oil on canvas. It was good to paint with all of those different textures varying from rocks, grass and fur.
I have worked with different mediums and have learned that each one brings its own personality and beauty to a piece; it is my responsibility to portray that. Art is one of the most important components of my life and as a growing artist, I am hoping to follow in the footsteps of some personally known artists like Ronald Roberts, Hyunmee Lee, Jessi Pace-Berkley and Kendra Burton. The outcome of having worked with these artists in a student setting has brought a lot of character and improvement into my work. I select subject matters that are simple, making compositions attractive and enjoyable. I make sure that the colors I use are vibrant, the strokes I put down vary from large and visible to shorter and more restricted, and that I have open compositions that give the opportunity for the eye to wander freely.I feel that my art becomes better as I mature and expose myself to the world. As I learn new things and make constant changes, I have learned that art is my only constant. Art is the one thing that takes me to a world of my own; the one thing that takes me home.
I have been doing art for at least 9 years. I am heavily influenced by my surroundings. I have had the experience to be taught by wonderful artists like Jessi Pace-Berkley, Ronald Ray Rogers, Hyunmee Lee and Kendra Burton. I have learned much from their styles and their passion for art. I live to make art. My strengths are oil painting and charcoal drawings. I take pride in my ability to draw beautiful faces and paint how I portray the world in my own, unique way.
